Following the successful relaunch of Vanderbilt鈥檚 E-Waste Drop-Off events in FY25, VUIT is excited to announce a new, permanent drop-off location at the Hill Center for smaller e-waste items.听
Faculty, staff and students can now responsibly recycle eligible electronics Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. See a full list of acceptable items.听
This initiative supports Vanderbilt鈥檚 commitment to sustainability and responsible technology use. During the last academic year alone, VUIT鈥檚 e-waste events collected nearly 4,000 pounds of electronic waste, resulting in:听
- 5,556 pounds of greenhouse gases reduced听
- 114 pounds of toxic metals diverted听
- 634 gallons of water saved听
- 1,346 pounds of metal recovered听
