Alumni Association celebrates new, returning board members

The will welcome new and returning alumni leaders to its board for three-year terms that start July 1, 2026. The Alumni Association鈥檚 mission is to engage Vanderbilt alumni in the life of the university, encourage lifelong connections and support the university鈥檚 mission and priorities.

鈥淰anderbilt鈥檚 global alumni community is one of the university鈥檚 greatest strengths, and we are grateful to these dedicated leaders for their willingness to serve,鈥 Chancellor Daniel Diermeier said. 鈥淭he Alumni Association board brings together graduates whose professional accomplishments, spirit of engagement and commitment to service reflect the very best of who we are. I look forward to working with our new and returning board members as we strengthen connections across the Vanderbilt community and advance our mission.鈥

Elizabeth Gerken, BE鈥90, MBA鈥91, of Nashville. Gerken is retired director, business development, of Cumberland Pharmaceuticals Inc. She has served on the Alumni Association Board and Owen Alumni Council and has contributed as a Chapter leader, Reunion volunteer and a student-alumni engagement volunteer.

Dan Graham, BA鈥97, of Manhattan Beach, California. Graham is president of DLCL Capital. He has served as the Los Angeles Chapter president and has shared career advice with students as a student-alumni engagement volunteer.

Chris Phipps, BE鈥80, of Dallas. Phipps is a vice president of business development at Phenometrix and a serial entrepreneur. He is a longtime Wond鈥檙y mentor, Reunion volunteer and Class Agent.

Alexandria Lovelace, BA鈥11 of Washington, D.C., will began a two-year term as president of the Alumni Association Board. Alexandria is a talent business advisor manager at Deloitte. She is a former VU admissions counselor, a Reunion volunteer, a participant in AVBA events, an attendee of D.C. Chapter events, a Giving Day volunteer, a GOLD Class Agent and a contributor to the AVBA scholarship and Alumni Association Board Fund.

The following Alumni Association Board members accepted the opportunity to serve a second three-year term, beginning July 1:

  • Austin Brown, BA鈥15, JD鈥19, of Washington, D.C., is senior corporate counsel with Omidyar Network. He has been a class agent, Reunion volunteer and admissions volunteer.
  • Andy Dailey, BS鈥93, of Cairo, Egypt, is the director at Evolution International School. He is co-president for the Vanderbilt Middle East Chapter.
  • Amanda Pommerenck, BE鈥97, of Huntsville, Alabama, is the associate vice president, executive client manager, USACE/Army, at Dewberry. She also is the Huntsville Vanderbilt Chapter president.
