Rollout of new portal streamlines access to Vanderbilt policies for faculty and staff

University also updates policies about travel and business expense, inclement weather and more.Ìý

University Policies—policies that have a broad institutional impact—are now easier for faculty and staff to access than ever before. Through an initiative supported by a new University Policy Office in the Office of the General Counsel, the university has launched a policy portal that houses all approved University Policies in a searchable, easy-to-navigate centralized repository.ÌýÌýÌý

The Vanderbilt community can access the portal through single sign-on from the .ÌýÌýÌý

Along with the launch of the portal, the university has streamlined its so that they are created and updated consistently.ÌýÌý

UNIVERSITY POLICY UPDATESÌý

Several University Policies have been recently updated in or added to the portal, including:ÌýÌýÌý

  • Outlines the decision-making process in determining when university operations are changed by inclement weather.Ìý
  • : Outlines procedures for purchase order payments, non-purchase order payments, simplified payment requests, One Cards and one-time payment requests to ensure efficient financial operations, appropriate controls and compliance with federal, state and university regulations.Ìý
  • : Provides guidelines for people who are traveling or making other Vanderbilt business purchases to diligently manage costs for reasonable business expenses.ÌýÌý
  • Outlines expectations about when spectators can access the competition area once a game is completed.Ìý
