2025–26 Parking and Commute Information Ìý

Daily Parking Program Ìý

Locations: Terrace Place, Wesley Place, West and Sony garages.  

Eligibility: Faculty, staff, postdocs and graduate and professional students.Ìý

How it works:ÌýÌý

• Participants pay to park only on days they drive to campus, and there is no cost to enroll.Ìý
• Only daily parking participants have access to the daily parking facilities and are eligible for commute incentives and programs.Ìý
• Find available parking spaces in the or .
• Car usage is not required for the program—for example, if you don’t own a car and take the bus or ride a bike to campus, you can still enroll in the program and receive the commute incentive.Ìý

• $6.25 per day at Sony and Wesley Place garages Ìý
• $4.50 per day at Terrace Place and West garages

Annual Permit Parking Ìý

How it works: People with annual permits can park in any nonreserved parking space in any annual permit lot or garage on campus. Annual parking is open to faculty, staff and students (except first-year undergraduate students). Ìý

• 2024–25 annual parking permits expire on Aug. 31. Ìý

• New annual parking permits begin Sept. 1. Ìý

• Registration will open on Aug. 5 for undergraduate, graduate and professional students. Ìý

• Registration will open on Aug. 12 for faculty and staff. 
  

Switching permits: Annual permit holders, except for undergraduate students, may switch to the daily parking program at any point in the year. Email parking@vanderbilt.edu to cancel your existing annual permit before the first of the month to avoid being charged the monthly rate going forward. Daily parking access should be confirmed before canceling annual parking permits. Dual enrollment in daily and annual parking is not allowed. Ìý

Free Bus and Train Rides on WeGo Public Transit Ìý

All full-time and part-time VU students, faculty, staff and postdocs can local and regional buses, paratransit services and the WeGo Star free of charge at any time, for any reason. More than 6,000 Vanderbilt community members have registered for the or card.   Ìý

Parking Improvements for 2025–26Ìý

Major parking improvement projects planned for FY26 include critical garage maintenance work in the Baker, 25th Avenue, and Sony garages, along with an elevator modernization project in the 25th Avenue garage. In addition, we are actively working to implement LED lighting upgrades across our parking garages to improve energy efficiency and enhance visibility. We are also partnering with NES to install upgraded lighting in our surface lots, further advancing our commitment to safety and sustainability across all parking facilities.Ìý

Construction Closures:

Several lots and garages will not be available in the 2025–26 academic year due to ongoing construction on campus. Be sure to review available locations on the  and check the  for more information.
